Equine Business Success Summit

Traditionally a cautious crowd, equine business owners are embracing new ways of marketing and doing business. Cheryl Harless of The Equine Admin, and Patricia Reszetylo of Equine Teleseminar have teamed up to bring savvy business owners in the horse industry a telesummit spotlighting the newest and the brightest business minds in the industry. Most are not public speakers, just smart business people who are doing things right. Come learn how their innovation and know-how can transform your business; because sometimes, you just don’t know what you don’t know!

Cheryl attended the Summer School for Entrepreneurs earlier this summer. “They were amazing speakers and I learned a great deal. But throughout the course, I kept thinking, ‘I have got to do something

like this for equine professionals!’” Knowing this was more than she wanted to handle alone, Cheryl contacted Patricia and together they have created Equine Business Success and will be presenting their first telesummit Oct 10-14.

Speakers will include: Randi Thompson of Horse and Rider Awareness and How to Market Your Horse Business, Mandee Widrick of Horse Family Magazine and Charged-up Media, Geoff Tucker, DVM of The Equine Practice, Inc. and many more. There will be 2 calls per day, Monday – Friday. Recordings of the calls will be available 2 days following each presentation. Best of all, there is no charge to join the telesummit and learn from these bright, successful business owners. (Free to participate, phone charges, however are your own responsibility.)

“The response we are getting about our telesummit is absolutely amazing!” says Cheryl, “I’m so happy to be doing this, and I’ve connected with some fabulous people as a result. I hope everyone who
can, joins us the second week of October.”

Equine Professionals Gain Valuable Time with The Equine Admin

Horse people are always exclaiming, “I need more time!”. That sentiment goes two-fold, or even more, for the Equine Professional serving multiple clients or working several horses. Barn help is the usual first step, but what most people need is administrative help to get them out of the office and back to the barn or arena.

“It’s amazing how much time is spent in the office keeping track of things for the animals and clients,” says Cheryl Harless of The Equine Admin. “People just don’t realize how much more time they can have by getting help with the one thing they are most likely to struggle with.” She goes on to say, “An Administrative Specialist spending just 10-20 hours per month working on your business can make all the difference in the world. In fact, an Administrative Specialist may be able to do in 10 hours what takes you 20, 30 or even 40 hours to do yourself – just think of what you could do with all that extra time!”

Administrative Specialists (more commonly known as Virtual Assistants) have been around for over 12 years providing value to small business owners. Only recently has the horse community begun to grasp the time saving merits of this industry. Forward thinking equine professionals ran into problems with some Virtual Assistants (or VAs) as the learning curve was just too steep for them to learn all about horses. Many professionals hired in office help, only to have them spend most of their time mooning over the horses. The real trick was to find an Administrative Specialist that already knew horses, spoke the language and shared the passions of those in the equine industry.

Cheryl saw this need and for the last 4 years has been educating the equine industry about the value and need for Administrative Services to help astute equine business owners be more efficient and profitable.

Doing business as CH Enterprises in San Diego, California since the summer of 2007, Cheryl decided, when she moved to Hemet, California, to give the equine portion of her business a new name that better represented what she does and who she serves. Now more settled in her new home office, Cheryl is doing business as The Equine Admin.

“Administrative Specialists may be the smartest option for Equine Professionals to survive in this tough economy. It’s all about making smart choices that will give horse businesses the edge to move forward while others need to cut back.”
